Coretan 2007

Mungkin kita menjalinkan persahabatan baru, tetapi adakah kita menggandakan musuh?

Ghosts hit the Tube!

The Sunday Times, 30 December 2007
Wow!! Like what I've said in my last post - Ghosts stories really hit the Tube....

Hantu, Handphone & YouTube...

Lepas solat Jumaat tempoh hari, kami dok menjamu selera 'Milo Godzilla' sebelum pulang ke kantor.

Sambil syok menyedut ais-krim, tetiba terdengar orang bertengkar kat tepi taxi stand. Sorang bangsa cina, sorang tu bangsa india. Kami kurang pasti aper pertelengkahan sebenarnya. Mujur takde adegan tumbuk menumbuk.

Si Wakzz pulak sempat buat kelakar. Dia kata, "Kalo ader org gaduh mcm nie, amik jer handphone and record. Lepas tu upload dlm YouTube. Baru padan muka dia."

Seperti dah jadi satu trend masyarakat IT skrang. No wonder populariti YouTube kian ketara.

"...A Top 10 list compiled by the world's most-used search engine includes British website Badoo, Spanish-language Hi5 and United States-based Facebook. Video-sharing websites YouTube and Dailymotion are on the list..." (Source: http://www.todayonline.com/articles/229446.asp)

It's all just a button away.

Issh..hebat ler.

Zaman skrang orang dah tak takot hantu ek?? Nampak jer hantu, rasa takot boleh tolak tepi. Cari handphone, snap gambar. Lepas tu, email kat kengkawan or broadcast kat YouTube....wahahahakakaka...

Aku rasa ramai dah tengok gambar nie. Tersebar luas kat email last month. So, memang sah orang skrang dah tak takot hantu lagi. "I'm afraid of no ghost. I got HANDPHONE!!"

Ps : Mak aku pernah kater, zaman sains & teknologi skarang mana ader hantu?..Ermm, i concur that. Hantu pon lari lintang-pukang kalo nampak korang...

A question asked...

Aku terima satu soalan.

"Jika kamu bisa menoleh kembali, apakah yg akan kamu sempurnakan pada diri kamu?"

Jawapan aku:

"Tiada apa yg ku sesali pada diri ini....cuma kedegilan dan kejahilan ku... "

C E N C A L O K : Episode 101

I've reached my 101 post for this blogsite...phew!

Over the months, I've been rambling and crapping too much. But I don't care...this site is supposed to be unedited and informal, ryte?

Sometimes, I have to squeeze juice out of my brain to blog. Sometimes, it just flows out. And sometimes, there are too many things to blog about and you don't even know where to start from.

It's not always easy to blog about serious facts, so that's why I prefer to blog spontaneously or just impromptu. I'll talk just about everything. From fictions, to movies, to musics, day-to-day life events, to politics...bla...bla..bla..

Unlike my other blogsites, this space is like my little sanctuary zone. Infact, this blogspace is part of my little experimental project. The existance of this site is to see how far I'm communicating to myself and the people around me. Communication is part of our daily lives. Humans communicate variously. Be it with LANs gaming, internet messaging, phones, text messaging, emails; they are all forms or ways of interaction.

Thus, these form of knowledge management that we exchange ideas, we view perspectives of others, we discover new things, we meet new people and we understand about ourselves and others better. We improved our social skills and the most priority is that we foster friendships.

I've realised how powerful blogging is. How technology has improved so much that you don't need to be physically to be in office just to be at work! Unfortunately, there are people who think that blogging is just another reason to waste time and it just doesn't serve any purpose at all. Pity to those who don't blog and worse to those who abuse this wonderful invention.

There are always pros and cons to everything. But it's how we embrace technology to benefit ourselves in so many positive ways. Rants and rambles, your daily diary, your place to let out your feelings, are what people is generally stereotyping with blogging. But I do see other reasons that we can take advantage of this powerful tool.

I wonder what else can blogging do to your life?

That reminds me of something. I'm supposed to start a travel blog for someone, but she's not here at the moment.

Codename : Rising Dragon

Ok...ok...ramai sangat tanyer aper kena-mengena nama 'Rising Dragon' & diri aku nie??
'Rising Dragon' adalah codename untuk unit kerahan "Gerak Khas" aku suatu ketika dulu ketika menjalani Perkhidmatan Negara (NS).

Special Operation Command - Rising Dragon

Biler aku tengok balik gambar-gambar lama nie, aku teringat ketika latihan operasi mempertahan kan Bukit Timah - Battle of Bukit Timah Hill.

Masa tu kiter dlm tahun ke-3 latihan. Objective kami utk mempertahan kan Bukit Timah dari tawanan musuh. Dan 'musuh' kami masa tu bukan calang-calang musuh, brader. 'Musuh' yg bakal kami tentang tu dari Unit Gurkha yg memang terkenal dgn kecekapan dan keberanian mereka.

Gerun jugak pada masa tu. Kami diberi 3 hari utk mempertahan kan lokasi dari diceroboh 'musuh'. Unit Gurkha tu pon agak riak jugak ler..Sebelom latihan bermula, mereka dah kata boleh tawan Bukit Timah senang-senang jek. Lepas tu nak kibar kan bendera Gurkha kat atas Bukit Timah tanda kemenangan mereka. Ptuiiii....!!!

Kata-kata slogan mereka tu ler yg membuat api semangat kami makin membakar dan membara utk menewaskan mereka. Chewwaahhhh.....macam real jek!

The battle began. 3 hari 2 mlm aku dok makan, berak, tidor kat atas bumbung.

TERBANG macam flying fox, brader...Issh dahsyat sak Gurkha nie sumer. Rupanyer, aku ader ler dok teropong kat bawah dari atas bumbung, rupanya dia orang ader ler teropong aku dari atas pokok! Cisss...

Pertempuran sengit sampai kol 3 pagi tak abis-abis. Rakan sepejuangan aku ramai dah 'mati' kena tembak. Tinggl ler beberapa 'hero' yg masih hidup, termasok aku nie..keehelekkeh..

Manusia mana sey bole buat macam tu? Binatang jek yg bole...

Yg lagi satu aku nampak ngan mata kepala aku sendiri, mereka tu boleh lompat pagar setinggi 3m mcm gimnastik!! Huaaahh...dahsyat ler manusia nie sumer.

Kalo nak diikutkan, aku dah tak larat lagi...lutut dah lembik, nak diri pon dah tak bole. Nak angkat senapang pon dah tak terdaya.

Unit aku pon dgn dahsyat nyer balas balik tembakan bertubi-tubi. Kalo kao orang nak tahu bagaimana keadaan kiter masa tu, sama mcm citer Bukit Kepong. Masa tu lengit dok kena tentangan hebat...kira berak, kencing bersepah ler kat situ..eeeeiiiii.

Tapi demi maruah kami, perjuangan tetap diterus kan juga hingga ketitisan darah terakhir...Makin ramai kawan2 aku rebah, makin bersemangat jiwa kami utk menewaskan mereka.

Command post menyatakan, Gurkha pon ramai dah mati kena tembak. Tinggal saki baki jer lagi..Apalagi, kiter whack mati-matian kat mereka tu sumer.

Kol 5 pagi, Gurkha yg terakhir surrender. Mereka ngaku kalah! Rupanya, dia orang kata jgn pukul dia, dia dah surrender...tak nak main lagi! Huauahahahahaa!!! First time aku nampak Gurkha nangis pasal kalah terok!

Oh, lengit jugak ek!? aku ingat tak reti lengit!..Ketawa besar kami kat mereka akhirnya. Akhirnya, kami kecapi kemengan yg termanis...Kemenangan keatas unit Gurkha yg selama ini dikatakan hebat...hebat lagi unit kami nih...HAHAHAHA!

Kini, reservist training aku dah tamat. Unit telah pon dibubarkan. I adopted the name to reminisce in the honour of the once Super.Weapon.Assault.Team that has ever existed!

Selamat Menyambut Eidul Adha

Eid-ul-Adha—History & Origin

Two of the most important Islamic holidays of the year are Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. While the former marks the end of the long fasting month of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Adha marks the end of Hajj, the sacred pilgrimage to the holy city Mecca. It’s customary for every able Muslim (as prescribed in the Five Pillars of Islam) to go on a Hajj at least once during his lifetime. Also popularly known as the Festival of Sacrifice, this Muslim holiday Eid-ul-Adha commemorates Prophet Abraham’s unselfish act of sacrificing his own son Ishmael to the One God, Allah.

The history behind Eid-ul-Adha follows the story of the faithful Abraham, who was instructed by Allah in a dream to raise the foundations of Kaaba, a black stone, the most sacred Muslim shrine in Mecca (Saudi Arabia), which the Muslims face during their prayers (salat). Immediately responding to the Lord’s call, Abraham set off for Mecca along with his wife and son, Ishmael. At that time, Mecca was a desolate and barren desert and Abraham had to face a lot of hardships. However, he supplicated Allah’s commands uncomplaining. In a divine dream, he also saw himself sacrificing his son Ishmael for Allah’s sake. When he told this to Ishmael, the latter immediately asked his father to carry out Lord’s commands without faltering and assured that he was completely ready to give up his life for God. But miraculously enough, when Abraham was about to sacrifice Ishmael, Allah spared the boy’s life and replaced him with a lamb. And this is what Abraham ultimately sacrificed.

To commemorate this outstanding act of sacrifice (qurbani) by Prophet Abraham, people sacrifice a lamb, goat, ram or any other animal on Eid-ul-Adha and give the meat to friends, neighbors, relatives and the needy. People who are away from the holy pilgrimage, Hajj, also carry out this traditional sacrifice. Hence Eid-ul-Adha is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice or the Day of Sacrifice.

Eid-ul-Adha begins from the 10th day of the 12th Islamic month Dhul-Hijjah. But the date of Eid-ul-Adha depends on the visibility of the moon each year. Eid-ul-Adha is known by different names in different parts of the world. For instance, Eid-ul-Adha is known by the name Hari Raya Aidiladha in south-east Asia. In Singapore, the local name for Eid-ul-Adha is Hari Raya Haji and in Malaysia, people refer to this festival as Id al-Adha and has made it a national holiday there. Indians know Eid-ul-Adha as Id al-Adha or Idu’z Zuha. And in Bangladesh, Eid-ul-Adha is known as Eid-ul-Azha or sometimes even Id al-Adha. But whatever the name, the celebratory spirit of Eid-ul-Adha runs high among Muslims all over the world, the geographical variations notwithstanding.

"A Petai a day keeps the doctor away"

Someone slipped this email to me...

Petai

ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR

Little did you know ......
after reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at petai
in the same way again!

Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose.

Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit.

It can also help overcome or preven a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering
from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because
petai contains tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the
blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through
their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful
at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control :
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Holland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, " eating
petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a
wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills.

When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say,

"A Petai a day keeps the doctor away".

One of the best and near perfect drums cover for Enter Sandman. The ending part is a bit off. But this is the best found so far.

The Golden Compass - My Review

The Golden Compass - Lyra & Iorek

Got the chance to catch the movie Golden Compass a while ago.

If you are fans of Harry Porter, Lord of The Rings or maybe Star Wars, this fantasy epic may have some analogy.

The storyline is pretty average, where you can predict what comes after next. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for kids below 13 of age due to some violent scenes and loud sound effects. It's ironic to see parents tagging their children along. Maybe, the movie 'Enchanted' will be far more suitable for them.

The best scene of all, is that furious fight between the 2 armoured bears, Iorek & Ragnar. You gotta watch that! It was a 'jaw-breaker'...and I really mean A JAW-BREAKER!

The Daemons animations were awesome! You can't tell the difference.

The ending was quite abrupt and it leaves you hanging. From how the story goes, definitely there will be another sequel.

Lyra (Dakota Blue Richards) stole my heart! Iorek Byrnison (The giant armoured bear) is definitely the real hero in the picture. I'm totally bewitched!

I'm not going to elaborate much, so not to spoil your excitement. You'll be more comprehend if you read up the sypnosis first and learn the language of it before viewing. If you have enjoyed the books, then chances you'll enjoy the movie more.

Go to http://www.goldencompassmovie.com/

I'm giving 4 out of 5 rating. Commendable.

Happy watching, guys!
ps : To the guys from SKM, thank you for the movie tickets. :-)

The returnz of The Mat Rock Kentalz...

Friday nite lepas, aku kembali ke studio utk rakaman album terbaru kami - Stabbed.

Seperti album yg lepas, kami masih mengekalkan genre Death Metal utk kompilasi lagu-lagu. Cuma kali nie, lagu-lagu kami agak sopan dari segi lirik nyer. Tak ler se-brutal sangat seperti album yg lepas.

Walopon sorang vokalist kami, Aceshigh, tak hadir pada mlm tu, rakaman tetap berjalan dgn lancar. Kesian ler Zoneng kena nyanyi sorang pasal takde back up vocals.

Tuu hari juga, kami ader mencuba beberapa experiment baru. Voodooskullz testing video cam quality utk gigs yg akan datang. Fangface ader ubah sikit muzik arrangement dgn menyelitkan unsur-unsur piano to soothen the melody. Muzik Death nie berat sangat. Masyarakat tak bole terima. So, kena 'lembut' kan sikit ler. Aku pulak try main drum pakai satu tangan.....wahahakakakakkaaa....

Instrument kurang bermutu pada mlm tu. Sounding agak pecah sikit. Adakalanyer bass sound terputus-putus akibat jack wire yg dah terok. Masih lagi ader kelemahan dlm sound engineering kami. Tapi takpe, muzik masih bole di edit during post production nanti.

Our next mission is to try on Gothic music genre. Lebih menghantu dari Death Metal. Masih belom fikir kan lirik yg bakal diselitkan dlm muzik gothic.

Aku skarang tgh buat research pasal gothic culture.

Apa itu gothic? Rock hantu kaper??...

Bukan, kalo korang blajar pasal perihal architecture, gothic itself is a form of architectural expression in the 12th century origin from Europe after Romanesque period. Same mcm Islamic Architecture, Roman Architecture...bla..bla...bla..

Quote:
The term "Gothic"

Gothic architecture has nothing to do with the historical Goths. It was a pejorative term that came to be used as early as the 1530s to describe culture that was considered rude and barbaric. François Rabelais imagines an inscription over the door of his Utopian Abbey of Thélème, "Here enter no hypocrites, bigots..." slipping in a slighting reference to "Gotz" (rendered as "Huns" in Thomas Urquhart's English translation) and "Ostrogotz."

In English seventeenth century usage, "Goth" was an equivalent of "vandal," a savage despoiler with a Germanic heritage and so came to be applied to the architectural styles of northern Europe before the revival of classical types of architecture. On 21 July 1710, the Académie d'Architecture met in Paris, and among the subjects they discussed, the assembled company noted the new fashions of bowed and cusped arches on chimneypieces being employed "to finish the top of their openings.

The Company disapproved of several of these new manners, which are defective and which belong for the most part to the Gothic."[2] '"There can be no doubt that the term 'Gothic' as applied to pointed styles of ecclesiastical architecture was used at first contemptuously, and in derision, by those who were ambitious to imitate and revive the Grecian orders of architecture, after the revival of classical literature.

Authorities such as Christopher Wren lent their aid in deprecating the old mediæval style, which they termed Gothic, as synonymous with every thing that was barbarous and rude.", according to a correspondent in Notes and Queries No. 9. December 29, 1849.

End quote.

What is the Goth culture?
Quote:

It is basically indefinable, because "Goth" means different things to each follower. Many adopt unusual fashions in order to separate themselves from other youth. Gordon A. Crews, associate dean of the School of Justice Studies at Roger Williams University in Bristol, CT is an investigator of what he calls the "occult" which-- in his opinion -- includes the Goth culture.

He said: "It is up to the individual to define what Goth is for themselves ... The mentality is, 'I want to be left alone but I want to be seen. I want to see the shock on other peoples' faces." 11

Some factors that are commonly observed are:

Its unique music, art and literature. The use of extreme black clothing, light colored makeup, unusual hair styles, body piercing, bondage items, etc.

A fascination with medieval, Victorian and Edwardian history. Wearing of symbols such as a Christian cross; an Egyptian ankh or "Eye of Ra," or "Eye of Horus;" a Wiccan pentacle, a Satanic inverted pentacle. etc. 14 Goths tend to be non-violent, pacifistic, passive, and tolerant. Many in the media have mistakenly associated Goth with extreme violence and hatred of minorities, white supremacy, etc. Many Goths write about being depressed. Followers seem sullen and withdrawn, when in public. They are often much more "happy and carefree in the company of [other] Goths." 1 Examples of depression are: "Tigriss," commenting on her own life, writes: "So my gothic persona fit me quite well. My black clothing and dark music aptly reflected my own depression, pain, and anger which was what I made most of my life about. Most of my goth friends had dysfunctional families and troubled childhoods as mine. We could identify with each other through our dark make-up and painful pasts." 12 Researcher Jasin Tamlin comments: "If you take a look at the 640 sites that are listed on the Gothic Web Ring, you will find many of them filled with desperation, depression, anger, hatred, despair and angst." 13 "A lot of people turn to the Gothic subculture after having a hard time in school, feeling alienated, and looking for a way to express themselves that mirrors those feelings. Others find the scene through literature, still others want to be shocking, and some people just find black clothing slimming." 1 Goth music often deals with thought-provoking topics, concentrating on societal evils, like racism, war, hatred of groups, etc. Their music tends to concentrate on the very "nasty, unhappy" topics that "North American culture" wants to "ignore and forget." A fascination with death. They try "to find a different way of thinking about life, like trying to find beauty in life, pain and death. It's all a quest for immortality." 2 In contrast, many Goths are optimistic about the future and see much beauty in the world. Some Goths enjoy playing role playing games. However, RPGs are not an integral component of Goth culture. It is just that those intellectual and creative challenges that draw them to the Goth scene make them more likely to enjoy RPGs as well. Other interests: writings by authors like Dante, Byron, Tolstoy; German Expressionist silent films; writing music; painting, etc.

History and background:

The words Goth and Gothic have had many, largely unrelated meanings in the past: the name of the Germanic Visigoth tribes that overthrew the Roman Empire. From this source arose the concept of a Goth as an uncivilized person, a barbarian. 4 a style of architecture in Western Europe which was popular from the 12th to the 16th century. a style of horror/mystery literature that is dark, eerie and gloomy. Goth, as a modern movement, started as one component of the punk rock scene. As the latter faded, Goth survived by creating its own subculture. The first use of the term Goth in its present meaning is believed to have been on a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) TV program. Anthony H. Wilson, manager of Joy Division described the band as Gothic compared with the pop mainstream. The name stuck. Their use of black clothing was originally "something of a backlash to the colorful disco music of the seventies." 5 It also stuck. The movement first became established in the Batcave, a nightclub in London, England, in the early 1980's. 3 Spreading to the U.S., it first became popular in California. Goth is featured in The Crow horror movies (1994, 1996). Other Gothic movies are the original Nosferatu, the color remake Nosferatu the Vampyre, and the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari. Popular music bands are the Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can Dance, and many others.

Hidup kan muzik dlm jiwa kiter....

It's 2am...and it's showtime!

Cerpen : "Beliau yang ku panggil ibu" - Part 1

Al-kisah, dahulu ada seorang ibu, yg bernama Milah (bukan nama sebenar). Beliau mempunyai ramai anak.

Salmah : Milah, kau jgn khuatir.

Milah terasa amat kecewa.
Kini kau dtg utk merampas dia kembali??

Milah : Walauapa pun alasan kau Salmah, dia tetap anak kandung ku! (Milah menangis terisak-isak). Dia tetap anak aku!

Milah terus mempertahankan hak demi utk mengambil anak dia kembali.

Salmah : Tidak Milah! Aku akur dgn janji kita dahulu.

Milah : Kau silap Salmah. Aku memberi izin utk menjaga anak itu, tetapi bukan utk selamanya, Salmah. Dia tetap anak aku!

*hint*hint*

Selasa lalu, aku berkesempatan ke Changi Airport utk mengiringi Dato' Razak & wife terbang ke Turkey for their 2nd honeymoon...woohoo..

Iring sampai airport jerr..bukan sampai Turkey dahhh...

Tu pon kalo tak si Spidey yg paksa. Anw, aku mmg nak jumpa kedua mempelai tuu. dah lerr hari raya tak sempat nak kunjung umah dia orang tuu...so, ini ler peluang yg terbaik utk bertemu mereka berdua tuu..

Aku bertolak dari opis kol 6pm besama rakan side-kick aku, Wonder Woman. Kami bertemu Spidey di airport pada kol 7.30pm.

Time tu perot pon dah lapar. Kiter pon serbu gie canteen airport kat bawah Terminal 1. Makanan kat situ not bad leh..Aku order kacang pool and satay 15 cucuk!...huaarrhhh. Makan sampai tak termakan lagi...huhuhuhuhu.

Lepas tu si Spidey order dessert. Dia kepingin nak ice-cream. So, dia beli ler 3 scoops utk sorang satu..

Lepas makan, kiter dok ler tunggu kat Row 12, Gate 4. Si 2 mempelai tu sampai airport kol 9pm. Flight kol 11.05pm..Sempat ler dok berborak kejap. Airport pon ramai orang. Kebanyak kan tourists dari India..nak balik kampong sempena Deepavali.

Aku yg sempat berposing...

Tepat pada pukol 10.30pm, kedua mempelai tu pon check-in luggage mereka. Spidey kater, keadaan di Turkey sejuk skrang. Dia suruh stand-by pakai jacket.

So, we waved our goodbyes to the couple and wished them a pleasant journey.

Bon Voyage.

I'm blessed to be A Virgo...

The Sign of The Virgo

Show me the upstanding citizen whose "rightness" and probity put every other sign to shame and I will show you a Virgo. No other sign of the occidental horoscope system (except at times the Capricorn) has such a well-developed sense of what is proper and meet in any situation. The Virgo is clear-thinking and almost never misses the mark. Virgo is logical, analytical and keeps a cool head.

Virgos are not coldhearted or indifferent. They are loving and even slightly grasping about their love objects. Virgos are both sensual and gentle people. But what is so peculiar to Virgos is their ability to penetrate the fog of subjective thinking that surrounds emotion-laden situations. Run up to a Virgo and cry, "My house is ablaze! My children are inside! Help! Do something!" The Virgo: "Where do you keep your ladder?" Practical and down-to-earth, the Virgo can be looked to by almost any of the rest of us hysterics to keep calm and do the right thing.

Because Virgo people are methodical, they enjoy living in organized and pleasantly decorated surroundings. They are concerned with precision and enjoy keeping order. Meticulous to a fault, Virgo has to struggle to accept untidiness. Virgo eschews mess.

Often people in high positions in industry turn out to be born under the sign of Virgo. In power, however, Virgos sometimes have trouble getting along with their coworkers. They have difficulty communicating their displeasure without being biting and critical. If a Virgo boss thinks John acted badly at the office party, he may call him on the carpet, saying something like "John, you acted like a perfect idiot last Friday night. This behavior of yours is pathological. You had seventeen Scotches." Diplomatic, Virgos are not. But their ability to analyze complex situations is at the least astute.

Virgos are gifted for art appreciation and are very often creative. They have good taste and know how to judge fine quality. Often Virgos have collections of delicate antiques or precision instruments. They know how to take care of things and can be trusted to return borrowed items.

In the shortcoming department, Virgos may like to gamble, try drugs or dabble in the seamier sides of life. Virgos can become addicts and near-residents of casinos. Drugs have a sedative effect on them. A desire to alter Virgo's rigid consciousness? A need to vacate? La nostalgie de la boue? Whatever. Virgos must be on guard against self-destructive tendencies.

Virgos can be terrible snobs. For some reason, Virgos often think themselves separate and not-so-equal beings in relation to the rest of the world. They like to have "important" friends and tend to stick up their noses at "trashy" people. Perhaps, as Virgos are so orderly, anybody slightly less exacting seems beneath them. In any case, I always feel that Virgos need a good tickle. They are a bit on the stiff side and could stand to have a turquoise popsicle melted over their heads.

ps : Hmmm....true....very true...! My ideal match is a Taurus. Any takers??

Skrang dah halal...raya nanti bole masak rendang

Pagi tadi aku terkejut bila baca satu email nie.

MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura) dah sah kan daging babi halal lerr..nie macam bole buat rendang raya tahun depan....hehehe!

Memula aku ingat someone playing prank nie..Saja nak buat lawak. Bukan aper, banyak dah aku dengar lawak bodoh dari segelintir 'bangsa' kat Spore nie yg suka sangat 'melawak-lawak' kan orang2 Islam am nyer.

Tapi semakin aku baca email tu, ianya bukan satu lawak bodoh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tukilan dari email tersebut:

Subject: Halal Pork

Assalamualaikum,

I would like to raise a concern on an incident. I was given the attached
pic from a fellow Chinese collegue asking if its possible for pork to go
halal. This pic was taken from an NTUC branch with the date at the
bottom but however, the person refuse to reveal which exact branch this
is from.

I hope you are able to step up some investigation on this. It really
scares me thinking teenagers who would try out of curiousity or maybe a
maid who don't know much reading and depend on the Halal logo. Kindly
revert. Thanks

------------------------------------------------------------------

Aku 'menderas' email tu 3 kali, dok! Aku zoom image tu dekat...tak cukup dekat, aku dekat kan muka aku kat monitor utk memastikan image tu tulen, bukan dimontage.

Sebuah pasaraya yg begitu sinonim dgn penduduk disini, yg begitu termahsyur, ader Quality Control Dept, ISO Certified, ader kilang sendiri, malahan disokong kerajaan, tapi hal mcm nie bole berlaku?

Tak masok dek akal ler, brader...

Akhirnya, aku ditemui jawapan. Memang benar perkara nie berlaku....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

NTUC Fairprice to file police report for tampering of pork packet
Channel NewsAsia - Friday, November 2

SINGAPORE: NTUC FairPrice said it will make a police report over what it called "a deliberate and wilful act of mischief" to tamper with its packaging of "Pasar Fresh Pork".

A photo sent in by a viewer showed a packet of pork under NTUC’s Pasar brand with a "halal" sticker from the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS).

Muslims are forbidden from eating pork and such "halal" labels are reserved for food products that do not contain pork or other non—permissible products.

"Halal" means permissible for Muslims to consume.

NTUC Fairprice has clarified that the original packaging does not come with a "halal" sticker.

It added that this matter is serious and it will take all necessary steps to make sure such act of mischief is stopped and will not be repeated. — CNA/ac

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, memang sah ler perkara nie benar.

Nak salahkan saper skrang?..Ermm..maksud aku, siapa yg akan dipertanggungjawabkan? (Ceyy...ayat mesti sounds professional sikit..eheh)

NTUC..?

MUIS..?

Bhai sarbat yg jual teh tarik kat Bussorah Street tu...??

Jgn nak tunding jari. Dlm story nie, cuma bhai sarbat ajer yg tak salah pasal dia takde kena mengena...heheh

Kenapa NTUC aku salahkan?

All back to basic, brader..

Pasaraya tu bukan setahun jagung, ek. Dah lama ditubuhkan sejak tahun 70an lagik.

Benda nie nampak depan mata kiter, apa pulak yg berlaku dibelakang mata kiter? Apa benda pulok yg dah dicampur gaul kan?

Dimanakah tanggungjawab NTUC?

Siapa yg check benda2 nie? Siapa yg tampal sticker2 halal tersebut? Org muslim or non-muslim?? Dimanakah pekerja2 muslim di NTUC sumer? Oh..lagi cuti raya, ek?? Takpa...takpa..

Salah tuu...

Sama2 ler kiter membantu sesama sendiri.

Kenapa aku salahkan MUIS pulok?

Aku tak faham ler macam mana MUIS edarkan label sticker halal ataupon sijil halal tu?

Agak nya dia orang mcm jual sticker kartun2 kat Pasar Malam, yg 10 keping $1 tu, ek? Saper nak sticker halal, main amik beli jer. Ishh...Eh, nie bukan memain nie..Ini dah tahap serious.

Kat kedai2 makan pon sama...Logo Halal terpampar kat depan kedai, tapi takde pon pekerja Islam disitu? Yang ader, muka-muka 'ahbengahseng'! Macam mana nie??..

Mintak maaf ler kalo aku serkap jarang, tapi kalo logo halal tu di control dgn procedure yg ketat, Insya-Allah benda nie tak kan berlaku.

Aku share cerita perihal kejer aku.

(Macam logo halal lerr tuu..) Kalo takde, tak bole disahkan sebagai kalis api, walopon pintu itu sememangnyer kalis api.

Bulatan merah - PSB label with a special serial number

Walopon sticker tu kecik senonet ajer, tapi akibat nyer porak peranda jika ia tiada. Kalo hilang, kena buat police report. So, memang tak bole tipu ler. Takde 2 sticker yg sama...memang fool proof!

Then, lampirkan idea tulus korang tu..innovate something better for the sake of the muslim world!

Itu ajer commentar aku.

Sekian terimakasih.

Allo' London...this is nighthawk, over!

Booth from London

The Superfrenz gathered again.

Kita dok lepak kat 'port' biasa. Spidey baru jek pulang dari London. Dia sihat seperti biasa, cuma lidah jer kelu susah nak cakap bahasa melayu, kata dia...(nyampah!)

Orang London sumer baik belaka. Queen Elizabeth pon ader kirim salam jugak kat korang. Dia ucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir Batin...wahahahaha!

Like always, kiter pekena teh tarik, nasi lemak, pisang 'bhai' and roti 'kahwin'. Sambil menjamu selera menu bhai, Spidey dok jadi tok selampit menceritakan pengalaman 'beraya' di kota London.

"Cuaca sejukk...5 degrees celcius. Nak mandi pon takot!" ngaku si Spidey. Anyway, he said the study trip was fun. Yes, I can see that, sampai penat aku tengok gambar2 dia kat London and Nottingham...200++ pieces of it, altogether! Kalahkan orang gie honeymoon...

Next week, Dato' Razak & wife flying off to Turkey lak..ermm..2nd honeymoon lerr..hehehe!
So, biler aku nyer turn lak, ek?

Hmm..soon...very soon...i think. :(

Ketupat, lemang menjadi hidangan...

Eh?..esok dah raya?!

Keadan sungguh hura-hara malam tu, mcm perang dunia siot! Berdesing telinga aku dibuatnyer....

Pagi Raya di Masjid Jamek, Alor Gajah Melaka.

Pagi Raya tu, aku gie solat sunat Aidilfitri pat Masjid Jamek, Alor Gajah, Melaka. Ramai jugak orang ler...anak dara pon ramai...hehehe! (oopss!)
Saat yg gembira...
Seperti kaum keluarga yg lelain, lepas solat, kami pon pulang ke rumah utk menjamu selera lauk pauk Hari Raya yg telah terhidang diatas meja...Apalagi ler, dok melantak lauk pauk tu mcm takde hari esok lagi...wahahaha!
Confirm mesti ramai nangis nyer lerr...Belom bukak mulot, air mata dah mencurah-curah macam air ujan..hahaha. Aku namakan sesi "Saper meraung paling kuat".

Yg dulu kecik, skarang dah jadi besar. Yg dulu single-mingle, skrang dah jadi tunang org ...Yg dulu pengantin baru, skrg anak dah berderet mcm keterapi....Hmm...perubahan masa begitu pantas hingga tidak sempat ku menikmati ketika ia berlalu...huhu
Gelagat anak-anak buah ku ketika itu, cukup memberi kenikmatan walaupon ianya hanya sementara.

Walopon takde gigi, senyuman opah ku tetap nampak manis....peewwiiiitt!!

Tapi masa yg paling stressing skali kalo kat kampong tu biler time nak tido lerr..hahaha! Berebut, bantal, gebor, selimut, tilam...isshh..

Ader jugak yg rebut 'spot' utk tido..Nak yg bawah kipas ler...nak tido atas sofa ler..kalo nasib tak baik tuu, kena tido kat dapur...hahahaha!! Rasa kao tido ngan 'mak menti'...kahahahaha!

(Minta maaf aku tak tergamak nak siarkan gambar2 time kiter tido tuu...sungguh mengharukan ..hahaha..Ko orang bayang kan ler sendiri..)

Makcik aku suruh aku design buat 'outhouse' kat tanah depan tuu. So, tahun depan raya, tak yah rebut2 bilik lagi.

"Bole makcik, professional fees saya RM300,000.00 jek, setuju?...Hahahhaa!" - Dia kejar aku ngan parang!

Cuba carik, mana satu beg aku...?

Aku lampirkan snapshots hari raya ku di kampong. Ader lagi gambar yg aku blom terima dari sepupu-sepupuku. Gambar2 nie yg aku sempat amik dari camera aku sendiri...

Hara Raya snapshots...

Malam Raya pertama

Raya pertama tu aku gi beraya kerumah sebelah abah aku yg di Muar dan Tangkak. Hujan ribot ler petang tuu..Aku takut sungai Muar naik air jek. Aku bawak keter nie, bukan bawak bot..huhu!

Kami pulang ke Melaka kol 11 mlm. Makkoo...letih siot! Dah ler jalan kat Muar jam, sesat lak tu. Ikut jembatan baru ler...kluar parit bunga ler...cari JPJ Muar ler, nanti jumpa Sungai Abong lerr...Tak leh pakai GPS ek?

Dah ler penat, skali si makcik2 sporting aku tu, ajak gie lepaks kat Highway Ayer Keroh pekena teh tarik!..Baru jek aku nak mandi, dah kena usung gie Ayer Keroh lak..arrgghhhhh..

Malam Raya Pertama : Kita gie rilex kat Jejatas Highway Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Pekena roti bakar, telur dan teh tarik...yesss!!

Bila kat sampai sana, aku lak yg tak nak balik, pasal nak tengok tv kat highway ader bola...England lwn Estonia 'LIVE'. England menang 3-0. Malam tu, kami pulang ke rumah kol 2 pagi..Aku kena tido tepi pintu pasal kalah betting bola...takpe bro, nanti wa returnz!

Chendol GEREKZ!

Aku pernah bilang korang pasal Chendol kat Melaka tu. Tahun nie, aku ziarah mamak chendol tu lagi. Chendol dia 'POWER GEDEMAK', bro! Santan dia...ummppphh..lemak manis, disukai ramai..

Tiap2 kali aku balik kampong aku MUSTI beli chendol dia..Aku recommend ler kat korang. Kalo singgah ke Alor Gajah, jgn lupa rasa sejenak chendol nie..

Chendol POWER!! - Kat roundabout Alor Gajah

Lokasi dia betol2 depan Muzium Adat Istiadat Melaka. Yg ader keris besau tuu. Mamak tu selalu park 'keter chendol' dia kat parking lot paling corner..Jgn, takut. Meja, kerusi juga disediakan jika anda mahu menjamu selera disitu at no extra charge! AMAAKKK!

Siapa lebih degil? Lembu ke manusia?

Pada Hari Raya kedua, aku dok ler sembang ramai-ramai kat berandah tu sambil menunggu tetamu-tetamu 'kecil' dari merata kampong datang collection duit raya..huhuu..

Sambil dok dan membakar tembakau jawa, aku terdengar suara kecil berteriak..

"Kiri...kiri..Husin, kiri Husin...kiriii....!!" dia pekik. Ketika itu baru ler aku nampak lembu-lembu buat 'catwalk' depan kampong aku...

Lembu-lembu pon berhari raya...yay!!!

Hahaha...aku yg gayat! Kesukaan aku tengok lembu. Selama nie aku nampak lembu kat pasar ajer..tu pon tinggal kaki lembu jer yg tergantung...

Makcik aku kata, "Husin tu nama sekor lembu tuh..Kalo tuan dia panggil, dia dengor kato. Kalo tuan dia suroh balik, dia balik. Kalo tuan dia suroh belok kiri, lembu tu belok kiri..."

Ooooohhh..oh iyo ko?...mulai dari saat tu, kata seumpamaan "Degil macam lembu" dah tak relevant lagi..Aku rasa manusia yg lebih degil dahh...

Si gembala yg kecil...

Aku pon tanyer, "saper budak kecik kat belakang tu?"

"Itu ler si gembala lembu tuu..." balas makcik aku.....

Tergamam aku dibuat nyer. Fuhhh...terror ler budak kecik tu. Aku salute sama dia!

Sampai dipenghujung...

Nie ler yg sedih...akhirnya, raya dikampong dah sampai ke penghujungnya. Alaa...maleh nak balik nie..Dah syiok makan tido kat kat kampong nie..

Kenderaan banyak skali. Heavy traffic lerr at that moment. Sumer laluan ke lebuhraya sesak.

Hujan lebat kat highway

Oleh kerana R&R Machap under renovation, aku singgah ler kat R&R Pagoh. Ingat nak melantak Burger Ramlee...skali orang punye ler ramai dahhh..Aku putus kan ler niat aku tuu. Aku beli teh tarik bungkus jerr..

Stop over kat R&R Pagoh. Orang ramai gie raya ke nie?

R&R Highway Pagoh

Lepas rehat 20min, aku terus kan perjalanan pulang ke Johor Bahru. Esoknya baru aku balik ke Singapore.

Serangkap Pantun Kenangan

Aidilfitri di kampong telah ku tinggalkan
Bermacam gelagat dengan seribu kenangan
Hanya ku pohon dan berdoa supaya diizinkan
Bertemu kami lagi ditahun hadapan...

Semoga kita bersua suatu hari lagi..

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir Batin.

ps: Ok sumer, aku kat opis nie...nak celah dulu. Ader org nak dtg umah ler..

Thank you for making me feel special..but i don't think I am.

"Ur special.seri0usly."

The text message appeared...and I'm dumbfounded.

Amazingly, I didn't expect that compliment at all. I don't fit the bill, seriously. Am I that special? Why am I so special?

I have to admit that, this is not the first time happening. I am completely puzzled over things that had turned out. I was hoping for a blissful and sincere friend relationship with women I got to know, but sometimes circumstances changed the whole scenario.

Have I been too nice, too sweet, too accommodating that I had advertently giving everyone a wrong impression? If that's the case, then ladies, I am deeply sorry to have caused the stir. I don't want to be accused of giving false hope.

I do not want to hurt you, nor do I want to hurt the friendship. But, we have to set our emotional boundaries straight.

Why it always landed like this with the opposite gender I met?

I don't mean any harm, but yet, why must they harm themselves?

Human emotions are very complicated, I concur. It double the takes when you are not only dealing with your own emotion, but also others.

ps: I shall forget the things you've said just now and I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings. Whatever it is, I am still here to be your friend.
